Banijay Asia - We are Banijay

Mumbai: Banijay Asia, part of the global content powerhouse Banijay Entertainment, has announced the Indian adaptation of NBCUniversal’s iconic detective series Monk, set to stream exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar.

The adaptation will follow Adrian Monk, a detective living with obsessive-compulsive disorder, along with his assistants Sharona Fleming and Natalie Teeger, as they tackle unconventional cases while Monk grapples with the unsolved murder of his wife. The storyline will delve into the personal lives and struggles of the main characters, adding depth to the mystery.

This marks the first Asian adaptation of the series and the second worldwide, following a Turkish version. Originally airing on USA Network, Monk is licensed globally by NBCUniversal Formats, part of Universal International Studios.
